Hauling Tips:

  1. Keep items out of the waste stream by donating for re-use and recycling
  2. Keep yard waste and landscaping debris separate from other items
  3. Separate recyclables (glass, metal, newspaper, cardboard) for easier handling at recycling center
  4. Keep items dry if possible to reduce disposal charges which are based on weight (water is heavy!)
  5. Place items in one dry location for easiest pick up and loading, e.g. garage, carport or covered patio
